Steps I took: Used the Windows 10 compatibility troubleshooter with wrong results. Game installed, but would not play past first screen when using the disk with the Virtual XP Pro, so Reinstalled the game, ripping disk and mounting the. Made sure all the "run as" and "security permission" options were AOK. Same results. At the first screen, when I push play, game crashes. Might try and get an old '98 disk and do the Virtual for that, but don't have one.
There are so many good old games out there that I want my kids to be able to use. In the new app for Windows 10, the villains look too hardened and real. Then there is Oregon Trail with the same problems. And no, these are not available at GOG. Got any ideas? Thanks ahead of time, A Frustrated Mother.
